Garden Festivals are happening this weekend around the valley. Woodburn’s Tulip Festival is still a great destination this weekend. The peak bloom continues for this event through this weekend, so get tickets early!

Star Gazers will be interested in two meteor showers this week. The Aqariids will be visible May 6 (peak date), but are likely only visible from the Southern Hemisphere, but the Lyrids will be visible from the Northern Hemisphere. The comet that caused these meteors was C/1983 H1 and it was the closest comet to fly next the Earth in 200 years. The Lyrids meteor shower isn’t expected to be fantastic due to the full moon being so close to the peak.
